TRAUMA: A PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS

Learn how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), traumatic experience during childhood such as abuse, neglect, and chaotic relationships, bring about an increased risk of chronic disease, mental health disorders, and early death.

The ACE Study confirms, with scientific evidence, that adversity early in life increases physical, mental and behavioral problems later in life. Problems such as heart disease, liver disease, COPD, drug abuse, obesity, depression and more can be directly linked to the experiences we have in childhood.
